Financial Management and Financial Forecasting - Financial proposal
Description
A core element of all business activity is the management of finance. Any decision and any business operation has to be funded in some way and in turn it should produce the necessary (financial) results. Regardless of professional background or discipline all managers, senior, middle, junior, become accountable for using corporate resources and today senior management and directors expect a level of financial skill and knowledge to be applied. The module covers a range of skills and knowledge expected by employees who do not have a financial background and therefore focuses on the operational. The module will cover issues such as budgets, budgetary control, and applying financial data to make decisions. From this information organisations will decide whether tighter controls are required or expansions plans are feasible. The skills learnt in this section help students write the financial component of business plans should they wish to become self-employed.
